From idea to first invoice. No delays.
Registration, bank account, permits, first records — Konto 6 handles all of it. You focus on doing business.
Starting a company in Serbia is complex for foreign investors: which entity form is simplest, how do you register, what do banks require, which authorities must you notify, how do you file your first reports? Most information you find is either outdated or incomplete. Konto 6 keeps you on track. From day one, we act as your extended team — guiding you through registration, account opening, permits, first accounting. Result: your firm is operational, your first invoice is sent, everything is legal and correct.
Company formation is not just paperwork. It’s an operational launch.
Most agencies handle registration and move on. “Congratulations, you’re a company.” Then you discover: “But the bank account? The permits? What’s next?” Konto 6 is different. We’re not just legal administration. We’re not just an “agent” who leaves you to figure it out. We work with you from the start — from entity selection (what’s best for you?) through registration, all the way to your first sent invoice and first filing. That means:
•Analyzing what you actually need (LLC, manufacturing, import-export?)
•Registration with all relevant authorities
•Opening a business bank account (we know which banks move efficiently and what they require)
•Registration for VAT, income tax, contributions
•Setting up your accounting record
•Operational support: “What’s next?”
It’s from idea to first invoice — without having to ask anyone else.
The process: Day 1 to Day 30.
Phase 1: Assessment and entity selection (Days 1–5)
First question: Which legal form fits you? Limited Liability Company is standard for most, but if you’re a large investor or planning complex structure, you might need a Joint Stock Company or a branch of a foreign firm. Konto 6 listens to your plans — where you’ll operate, capital size — and recommends the structure. This protects you from later discovering you chose wrong.
What we need: Basic info about you (passport if foreign, ID if local), your business idea, estimated capital.
Phase 2: Registration (Days 5–12)
Prepare and submit documentation to the Business Registers Agency. Konto 6 guides the process, coordinates with the agency, tracks status. Usually completed in 7–10 working days.
What you get: Registration number, legal status, official documentation.
Phase 3: Bank account and tax ID (Days 10–20)
Once registered, you need a business account. It’s not straightforward — banks require: proof of location, ownership proof, often proof of “legitimate source of funds.” Konto 6 knows which banks are efficient, what documents they need, and we guide you through it. Simultaneously, you register for VAT and tax ID with the tax authority.
What you get: Business account number, VAT number (if applicable), tax ID for all obligations.
Phase 4: Permits and compliance, industry-specific (Days 15–30)
If your business is regulated (retail, food production, data-handling consulting), you need special permits. It could be environmental permits, financial service licenses, or labor authority registration. Konto 6 knows what’s required and will guide you. Examples: e-commerce — VAT registration and GDPR compliance; manufacturing — environmental permit and labor inspection; consulting — depending on type, often just VAT.
Phase 5: First accounting and “go live” setup (Days 20–30)
Before you send your first invoice, you need to: set up accounting system, register for statutory oversight (if required), configure chart of accounts. Konto 6 handles this — you’re not left with a blank slate wondering “what now?” We set it all up so your first invoice goes out from a functioning system.
What you get: Accounting system configured, first invoice sent, everything ready for normal operations.
Phase 6: Operational support (first year)
After launch, questions often arise: “How do I register this?”, “What about this payment?”, “When’s my filing deadline?” Konto 6 is available — you’re not alone.
Typical situations where formation via Konto 6 makes sense
Foreign investor entering Serbia for the first time
Laws are different, language is a barrier, procedures are unfamiliar. Konto 6 is a bridge — we guide you through all local procedures, translate complexity into clear steps, save you from costly mistakes. Many foreign investors start with “pilot” operations (small volume, market testing) — we organize that fast and right.
Domestic entrepreneur launching a new venture or product line
Rather than expand an existing company, launching new is often smarter. No tax history baggage, cleaner credit options, clear financial line. Konto 6 sets it up quickly.
Franchise or partner entering a new market
You’re already successful elsewhere. Now you’re entering Serbia as a partner or franchise. You need a registered, operational firm ready for partnership. That’s what Konto 6 delivers fast.
Startup or tech firm with foreign investors
Foreign investors demand a “Serbian operating entity” as a condition. You need it fast and correct. Konto 6 sets everything up legally, audit-ready, prepared for annual filings.
How long does it take? (30 working days, average)
Formation time depends on industry:
•Standard operations (retail, services): 20–25 working days. Registration, account, basic accounting.
•Regulated industries (manufacturing, food production): 30–45 working days. Special permits take time.
•Specialized sectors (finance, regulated import-export): 45–60 working days. Special ministry requirements.
Phase by phase:
•Assessment and registration: 12 days
•Bank account: +5 days (parallel with others)
•Permits (if needed): +15 days
•Final setup: +3 days
What speeds it up: Having a location ready, knowing exactly what you’ll do, having your documents prepared upfront. The more data you provide, the faster the process.
