Payroll that is accurate, on time, and in full compliance with law. Always.

Payroll is at the center of employee attention — it must be accurate, it must be on time, it must comply with labor law. Errors in payroll mean employees lose money, your company faces penalties, or in worse cases — legal disputes. Konto 6 manages payroll so you can focus on building your team.

Much more than numbers in a spreadsheet.

Payroll is not just data entry. It is:
Legal imperative: Every payroll calculation must comply with labor law, income tax law, and contribution law. A misinterpretation of law can have costly consequences.
Obligation to employees: Every employee expects an accurate amount in their account, on time, every month. Even one day late creates concern; even a small difference in amount can undermine trust.
Business imperative: Payroll is a significant line item in your budget — you need accurate numbers for planning, accurate numbers for profitability analysis, accurate numbers for future decisions.
If payroll is not precise, everything else becomes uncertain — you don’t know true costs, you don’t know true obligations, you don’t know what you can plan for.

Konto 6 manages payroll so you know:
Every employee receives the correct amount on time
Every contribution is calculated and reported correctly
All state obligations are settled
Your payroll costs are clear and understandable

Complete payroll management — from data entry to payment and reporting.

1. Salary and contribution calculations
Every employee, every month — salary calculation per law, contribution calculations (health, pension, unemployment), income tax calculation. Everything is precise to the last unit of currency, with no errors or discrepancies.
2. Labor law compliance
Minimum wage, working hours, overtime, annual leave, sick leave — all handled automatically per current law. You remain in compliance even when laws change multiple times per year.
3. Annual filings and reports
Annual reports to the Tax Authority, health funds, and pension funds — all documents, on time, correct. No delays, no penalties.
4. Support for expats and specialized employment cases
Employees from other countries with specific tax status, employees in Serbia for less than a required number of days — each case has its own calculation method. We know how this works in every country and every scenario.
5. Payroll cost analysis
Monthly review of payroll costs per employee, per department, per cost type (gross, contributions, taxes). You know exactly what each employee costs and how that line item appears in your budget.
6. HR team support
Direct communication with your HR team — answers to questions, explanations of legal requirements, recommendations for regular reviews. The HR team becomes a partner in the process, not an additional burden.
7. Support for subcontractors and B2B partners
If you work with subcontractors or are in a B2B arrangement — honorarium calculations, compliance reporting, all clear without confusing recalculations.
8. Document retention and archiving
All reports, all original documents, all calculations — we retain and archive per law (5+ years). If an audit occurs, everything is available immediately.

Employment complexity — we manage it.

Type 1: Regular employees (domestic)
Standard calculation — salary, contributions, taxes. The simplest scenario, but errors can occur here too if laws change. We monitor all legal changes so you don’t have to.
Type 2: Expats and long-term residents
Employees from another country with their own tax obligations. For expats, tax is usually paid in the country of residence (Serbia), but specific conditions must be met. For long-term residents, a different tax regime applies than for regular employees.

How we handle it: We know exactly how this works for employees from every country — France, Germany, Hungary, USA. We know what gets reported to the Tax Authority, what gets reported to the country of origin, what doesn’t get reported. No confusion.

Type 3: Employees with special status (students, disabled, over 65)
Certain employee categories have special benefits or obligations — students have a specific tax regime, disabled employees have different contributions, older employees have different contribution rules. All of this can be miscalculated if not tracked properly.

How we handle it: We know the exact conditions for each status and how it applies to payroll. You simply tell us which employee has which status, we handle the rest.

Type 4: Subcontractors and B2B partners
Instead of employees, you sometimes work with independent consultants or other companies. Calculation is different — honoraria are counted as expenses, but how they’re taxed depends on contract type, situation, and legal framework.

How we handle it: We know the distinction between employees and subcontractors from a tax perspective. We know how honoraria are taxed and reported, without the risk of being reclassified as “hidden employees” by the Tax Authority.

Laws change. We keep track.

Labor law in Serbia changes multiple times per year — new minimum wage, new contributions, new taxes, new health fund requirements. If you’re tracking this through emails or news, you’ll probably miss something important.
Missing a labor law obligation can be expensive:
Payroll error = employee loses money = conflict with employee or legal dispute
Error in filings = penalties from the Tax Authority (often retroactive up to 5 years)
Error in health contributions = penalties from the Fund
Incorrect overtime calculation = risk of union conflict or individual disputes
Konto 6 monitors all legal changes — as soon as something changes, payroll automatically adjusts. You don’t need to know the details, we do.

Regular legal reviews: We recommend annual (or semi-annual if things change frequently) reviews — of all labor law obligations, of whether the company is in compliance, of what should have changed but didn’t.

Payroll is part of the HR process, not a separate operation.

Payroll does not happen in isolation — it is the result of HR decisions. An employee is hired (HR activity), salary is defined (HR activity), overtime is approved (HR activity), sick leave is processed (HR activity), employee is terminated (HR activity). If your HR system and payroll are not connected, errors result.
Konto 6 works with your HR team as an integrated process:
New hires — we receive data from your HR system, payroll begins
Salary changes — HR sends us information, we update payroll
Sick leave and annual leave — HR reports to us, we automatically adjust
Terminations — HR coordinates the timeline, we finalize the last paycheck
You don’t need two separate operations with spreadsheets and emails in between. Everything is integrated, friction-free.

Flexibility for various HR systems: If you already use an HR system, we can integrate — we download data directly, without manual work. If you use traditional Excel or paper, that works too. We adapt to your process.

How it works — step by step.

Step 1: Data collection
By the 20th of the month — your HR team sends us data: hours per employee, sick leave, overtime, salary changes. If everything is electronic, it uploads directly.
Step 2: Calculation
20th-22nd of the month — we calculate: each employee, each contribution, each tax. The calculation is verified multiple times, error-free. The result is a detailed payroll summary.
Step 3: Approval
22nd-23rd of the month — you review the numbers. If there are questions or issues, we contact you. Usually there are no issues because calculations are standard.
Step 4: Payment
23rd-25th of the month — payroll is transferred to the bank, money goes to employees. Employees see funds in their account by the 25th-26th.
Step 5: Filing
By the 5th of the next month — filings with the Tax Authority, funds, and health fund. Everything is sent automatically from our system, error-free, on time.

Free your team from administration, focus on employee development.

If you’re currently spending 20 hours a month on payroll — between spreadsheets, calls to authorities, and waiting for documents — it could be different. Payroll could be a 2-hour-per-month operation, not 20. That means your HR team has time for what truly matters — employee development, organizational culture, talent retention. Let’s talk about how this can work in your company. No obligation.
